With the increased security, better performance and rich functionality of Windows XP, Microsoft is reminding customers that lifecycle support for Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows ME (including Internet Explorer 6.0 and Windows Media Player for these operating system versions) is ending on June 30, 2006. All assisted support, including security updates, will end on this date. Now is a good time to do a final check of all your computer systems as well as those of your customers to migrate to the more secure and robust Windows XP.
